The server speed limit of 110 mph is reasonable. Players like me who enjoy to play realistic are free to drive slower than 110 kph in a truck (rather 70 to 90 kph, depending on the real world national speed limits and regulations). If a player wants to drive faster than 110 kph he/ she can do so on the arcade server where no speed limit is applied.
The speed limit stuff isn't that bad, but once I start losing a lot of money because the speed limit wants to go from unlimited or 130 all the down to 90 instantly, it gets annoying because it takes 550 euros away if I don't slow down fast enough.

You're playing a game called Euro Truck Simulator 2; the key point is where it says 'Simulator'. You may not like it, but speed limits are just part of truck driving, and since truck driving is what ETS2 is aiming to simulate, then it should come as no surprise that there are speed limits. In most of Europe, the speed limit for trucks is 90 km

Game: Euro Truck Simulator 2 Mod Version: 0.2.2.3.1/ETS2 1.30.2.9s Controllers Used: XBOX 360 Controller. Description of Issue: In every server, my speed limit keeps getting turned on at the game setting after I disabled it. Euro Truck Simulator 2. Speed limit I have a beast truck but it still cant speed up above 90 kmh. Just go on singleplayer>load game>Gameplay>Truck Speed
There is no real difference between the trucks in regards to driving performance. They are all good with the higher power engines and gearboxes. You can easily do 60T loads with a 6x4 strallis using 500+ Bhp no problem at all. The only real issue with the truck is that its old, and the interior has never been updated.

This isn't a racing game. By having the speed limiter off, you've eliminated the challenge. I think the delivery times are based off the truck speed limits. So in order to have a challenge, turn the speed limiter on, realistic fuel, driver fatigue, realistic air brakes, standard shifting. Updated AMD and Intel HD sections with newest GPU settings configuration based on people's recommendation since I'm NVidia user. Added new section (8) for Laptop users who are having problems with overheating. Updated Launch options content with -homedir command (more about it in a guide, very usable command, makes huge FPS impact) Updated Actually, the limiters on HGV's in the UK are set at 56mph, not 60mph. Also, in the UK the speed limits on single carriageways (A roads and B roads), are 40mph, dual carriageways are 50mph, and 60mph on motorways. Although there is a consultation going on at the moment to increase the single carriageway speed to 50mph.
You can see speed limiter setting here: In city: [ats] 45 mph Speed limiter setting / having WOTR contract: [ats] 65 mph Speed limiter forced by game server: [ats] 85 mph Default speed limiter: [ats] 100 mph Then you need to do both of the following: 1-) Disable the speed limiter in your ETS2/ATS settings (Book Here)

Usually (but not always) toll gates in ETS2 has 40 KPH speed limit (applies on both card and pass lanes). For pass lane, a trigger placed at the lane's entrance. On the gate with a short lane, you may hit invisible wall when travel above 40 KPH because there is almost no time in between a trigger and gate fully open.

Turn off "traffic offenses" in the gameplay option and you never get a fine anymore. If you mean the "Truck Speed limiter" governing the truck to max 90 km/h, you can turn that off too in the gameplay options. However the External Market/Contracts are always speed limited so if you want to go faster, don't do external jobs. The regular speed limiter (tick-able) sets the truck's speed limit to ALWAYS the same speed, no matter the road you drive on. It is still strange that i'm unable to find the said string of lines in my savefiles that have been used to save ETSMP2 progress. That would, for the most part, prevent those 'accidents' from happening. Always 90 km/h (60 mph). EU regulations dictate that all trucks sold in the EU, or driving through the EU, must be engine limited to 56mph/90kph. Individual countries may have speed laws that are slower or in some cases faster. the speed limiter should limit the speed a truck can achieve, like 90km/h in Europe, or 55mp/h in California and not adjust to the road you are on, this is what they need to change, state depended max. speed limits for trucks on highways and not lock the truck to the speed the street alowes Simplest answer, UK doesn't use metric on roads, so your GPS will give you goofy speed limits. If you convert your settings to mph you will see round numbers like 30 and 60. If you use a conversion chart then no it's not an exact match so they round it off to the nearest whole number, both in game and in real life. 2O01m7.
